## Order of OperationsOrder of Operations In fifth grade, order of operations is taught using the following set of steps:
- Grouping Symbols (parenthesis, brackets, and braces): solved from the inside and working outward.
- Multiplication & Division from LEFT to RIGHT (whichever comes first)
- Addition & Subtraction from LEFT to RIGHT (whichever comes first)

## Graphing PatternsIn fifth grade, students generate patterns, create ordered pairs, evaluate relationships, and graph corresponding terms on a coordinate plane. For this grade level, students only use the first quadrant (positive numbers).
